Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the sweet mommas out there! What a special day to celebrate the people that make the world go round. I hope that if you’re a mom, you were treated like a queen today. And if not, I still hope you were treated like a queen. 🙂 I also want to give a shout out to those who want kids or are soon to be mommas! This post isn’t fashion related because I just wanted to write a letter to my mom. I hope everyone’s day was awesome!

Dear Mom,

This year marks your 17th Mother’s Day! I’ve only been around for 15 of those years but I just wanted to write this letter to say thank you. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for supporting me in everything I do and always encouraging me. Thank you for putting up with my sass. Thank you for your servant heart. Thank you for being a sponsor for the cheer team and for the countless hours you spend towards it. Thank you for believing in me when I don’t believe in myself. Thank you for reminding me it’s ok to not be perfect and that you love me no matter what. Thank you for coming to all of my sporting events growing up. I can’t think of one thing you ever missed. Thank you for always spoiling me even though I am so undeserving. You do so much for our family and expect absolutely nothing in return. I really mean it when I say that you deserve the whole wide world. What you do does not go unnoticed even if it seems like it.

One of my favorite things about you is that I know I can always talk to you. Even though I act annoyed when you say that we can talk about everything, I actually appreciate it. I know too many kids who feel like they can’t talk to their parents and it has never been a thought in my mind that I couldn’t tell you something. No matter what me, Luke, or Jill have to say, there’s no judgment. Just a listening ear and understanding. I appreciate that so much.

I know that you say you wouldn’t want us to be like you, but I really do aspire to be like you in many ways. Like I mentioned earlier, I hope to have a servant heart like you one day. I also hope to have half the wisdom and understanding of the Bible as you one day. Another thing is you have absolutely no fear when it comes to confrontation and I admire it. Confrontation is something so many people are afraid of but not you. You have so many awesome qualities that so many people see in you! You also are so talented and successful. Not many can say their mom has written and recorded 4 different albums. I am so proud of you and all you have accomplished. You are the best singer I know. 🙂

I want to remind you that you are SO loved by your family. This family wouldn’t work without you and we are thankful for all you. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. You are my hero, my rockstar, and my best friend. What an honor it is to be called your daughter.

xoxo, Kate
